No-Kill animal sanctuary which provides shelter for up to 600 animals (residents) at one time, including dogs and cats and more than 15 species of animals.
Humane Education Program: Challenges people of all ages to include animals as members of the family. Currently, Nevada SPCA has humane education presentations scheduled at a minimum of one new school per week ranging from elementary schools to presentations as well to UNLV and CCSN. Nevada SPCA welcomes invitations to any schools and organizations to help encourage the loving message that all animals are family members! To request a free presentation to a school or group, please call the Nevada SPCA at 873-7722.
Low-Cost Spay-Neuter: Help the public find low-cost alternatives for spay and neutering, vaccinations, microchips and general health care for animals. Importantly, animals (dogs and cats) at Nevada SPCA are spayed or neutered prior to adoption. This represents thousands of animals every year that receive spay and/or neutering while a sanctuary resident at Nevada SPCA.
Dog Training: Public animals and sanctuary residents offered training with the goal of helping animals to "get home and stay home." |

| Helpful tips for the public: |
|
The Nevada SPCA, a no-kill animal sanctuary in Las Vegas, recommends the following helpful tips for the public to know to help guide safe solutions for animals.
- Treat, respect and appreciate your animal(s) as a family member(s).
- Spay or neuter your animal, vaccinate and microchip.
- Should you be considering giving up your animal(s) due to medical or behavioral issues, please first consult your veterinarian or dog trainer or behavior therapist.
- If you are moving, please take your animals with you to your new home to "keep your family together!"
- Due to limited space at the Nevada SPCA, please work with our staff and/or other local rescue groups to help keep the animals safe and off of the streets.
- Please, do NOT surrender your animal unless you truly have emergency circumstances.
- Last but not least, please have your companion animals spayed or neutered, micro-chipped, and properly vaccinated.
